You find something NEW on the market?

By the way LAZARUS, you had to dig up a year old post to give me crap about? Trade some of your gear for a life.

And Snow, we've talked before, you know EXACTLY what MY problem is, I can run my rigs here and talk to Brazil, all without scratching more than a few kc's of bandwidth, legally, whereas, anytime YOU or your friends key up, the ENTIRE band is wasted for miles around your qth, let alone the harmonics that wander into the bands that I'm licensed to.

I'll be honest, there are a lot of people out here that know quite a bit about thier gear, the rest of you just know enough to be dangerous, and lack concern for fellow radio operators, most of you will openly state that you just don't care.

My radio history was rooted in the cb, I love the cb, and would use it more often if there wasn't so much asshattery about the band, two-faced snakes and the like, I don't claim to be any better than anyone else, I don't really want to be, I don't suffer from the missing-link geneticism that causes you guys to compete with your radios, but I'd also like to operate my gear without some bonehead splattering thier fried-chicken choking on afro-lingo repeatedly into an overdriven amp with some idiot-hacked "Export" radio with uncontrolled bandwidth and the spectral purity of a Frisco cesspool bleeding onto my otherwise quiet airwaves.

I never claimed to be any better than anyone, I just care about my neighbors and others that share my hobby, and don't care to ruin it for others.

/End rant

From what I gathered from Poopermans post, it would lend the idea that he DOES in fact think that he is better than other people.

I am better than ALL of you. Just as long as you all know that this relationship will go alot smoother.

Copper man is a good guy.
I am not saying that just because he is my neighbor, but he made me (through his harassment lol ) clean up my sound and signal.
I was able to get my station from destroying 2 differen bands down to a low roar and I still drop over 3kw bird, from blocks away from him.
All he is saying is that the same effect can be achieved if you cared about other people.
I still plug his ears on 10 meter when I key on 27.025 mhz, but shoot with my power and how close we live there is no way to avoid what I am doing to his RX.
I digress,
He is only suggesting to not offend other operators by running a cleaner station, and for that I agree.
My mobile is dirty and I like it that way, my base..... Hey, its always a work in progress.
:ugeek:
