Finally, after many years of waiting; the Heil is "In the Shack"! It's the GM-5 with the PTT base & Yaesu cable assy.
Great crystal clear reports so far. We'll see how she does in the DX pile-ups.

Sad thing is I have that PTT base for my Heil and the PTT is creap china crap. It stoped working in less than a month. Called Heil about it and was told to send it back in. No thanks I told them... It would cost me more to send it in than it was worth in the parts. Now I just use a foot pedal. SD found a heil Pedal that keys the amp then the radio. Nice. HRO has them for 40 bucks. Still a nice stand.
